[Thermomix] Pork floss

Occasionally if I could remember, I’d cook some lean meat soup (瘦肉汤) for the hubby and kids. After having the soup, the lean meat used is often thrown away as it’s quite tasteless.

But today, I decided to search for pork floss recipe and see if I could turn these lean meats into pork floss instead of wasting it. After googling, we found @beeleelau recipe here https://my.thermomixrecipes.com/thmrecipes/bak-hu-meat-floss/

I tweaked it a little as the lean meat were cooked in the double boiler pot for the soup so it’s quite soft. But still ended up with pork floss which is a little too fine texture. So I would try to adjust the speed for my next try.

Anyway it’s still quite amazing to have our homemade pork floss within 90 mins 👍🏻 thanks to thermomix. Kids enjoyed sprinkling the pork floss on their rice and porridge 😅

Ingredients:
500g lean meat (we weighed it before cooking soup)
100g Lukewarm water
50 g Sugar
20 g Sesame Oil
5 g Dark Soy Sauce
1/2 tsp Five Spice Powder
1/2 tsp Salt

Steps :
1. Place all ingredients into thermomix mixing bowl, 30 seconds/100 deg Cel/speed 4 (for next attempt if using cooked lean meat from double boiler, I will adjust this to 20 seconds/100deg cel/speed 3)
2. Scrape down sides and continue to cook till getting dry and floss texture without measuring cup at 60mins/100deg cel/speed 2 (I did pause and scrape down the sides about 3 times in between this 60 mins)
3. Spread meat floss on a baking tray and bake at preheated oven 170deg cel for 7 minutes or until golden brown
