As posted before, I made these burger buns using @sulyntan ‘s #softmilkbuns recipe. So we had our pork burger for dinner on a Friday night. Turned out… all kids 😅only like the bun itself. 🙄 luckily Hubby enjoyed the burger and all sides dishes.
We also paired this burger with macaroni chicken coleslaw salad , baked tonkatsu and baked purple sweet potatoes fries. Ohh! Baked purple sweet potatoes fries was a winner too. All snatched up in minutes. 😅will share this on a separate post.
The next day, I used the leftover buns to make #tiktoksandwich for our breakfast with ham, cheese and egg. 😋
Back to the pork loin, hubby gave thumbs up as it is super tender and juicy! Pork was simply marinated with a few ingredients! (Adapted this simple recipe from lee kum kee website , https://usa.lkk.com/en/recipes/pork-chop-burger-with-oyster-sauce )
Pork Burger
Ingredients:
5 slices of butterflied pork loin @quanshuiwetmarket (500g has about 7 slices, I used 2 slices for baked tonkatsu)
5 burger buns
2 tomatoes sliced (can add lettuce too)
3tbsp cooking oil
Marinade:
1 tbsp @leekumkee premium oyster sauce
1 pinch of dried rosemary ,
1 pinch of dried basil,
1 pinch of oregano
1 pinch of dried parsley
1/2tsp of sugar
Steps:
1. Pat dry butterflied pork loin slices with kitchen towel. Tenderize the meat, we used the back of knife. In a bowl, mix pork with the marinade. Set aside in chiller. (I let it marinade for 2 hours)
2. In a pan, heat up the oil and pan fry the pork over medium heat until done.
3. Serve pork on toasted buns with tomatoes. (Hubby also added ketchup mayonnaise sauce)
