Blue pea flower lemon chiffon cake

Little N requested for purple chiffon cake and I could only got hold of blue pea flower and lemon. So… we tried this combi…
Felt like I was having chemistry class in secondary school when mixing the blue pea flower water with lemon juice, the blue water instantly turn purple! Next , I mixed in this purple water into egg yolk batter πŸ˜… and guess what???…….. we ended up with green cake batter (πŸ’œ+πŸ’›=πŸ’š) 🀣

After mixing with the meringue and baking , the matcha green turns into a light minty green color.. little N came back from school and asked about her purple cake.. πŸ˜…luckily she didn’t mind eating a green cake instead. ☺️


Baby L was crying and I was in a mad rush to mix everything and send it in to oven… so πŸ˜…forgot to check oven temperature which was obviously too high and resulted in dark brown outer layer.
